We have signed up to the Family Arts Standards. We welcome families and to help you enjoy your experience we are committed to ensuring we meet these Standards. As we continue to improve our service for families your views are very important to us – so please let us know if you have a good experience with us or tell us what you’d like us to improve.
The Family Arts Standards are helping families to find arts activities that are suitable for all ages; they help organisations to consider the needs of families visiting an arts venue or taking part in a cultural experience.
All organisations that are signed up to the Standards, whether they’re a theatre, an art gallery, an orchestra or a dance company, will provide some activities that all family members can enjoy together. They are welcoming to families, with helpful staff, good facilities and considered pricing. They give clear information to help families decide what activities are suitable for them and their children.
We have donated a tree at this year’s Christmas Tree Festival! It’s a pleasure to support this local event and we urge you to get down to St Paul’s Church and view the marvellous trees on display!

The Christmas Tree Festival held in St Paul’s Church is now a firm favourite in the Bedford Christmas Calendar. The Festival will be opened at 10.45am on Wednesday 6 December by Julia Jarman, well known local author of children’s books. Following this, Julia will sign her books for sale. A series of daytime concerts by local schools and communities will be held throughout the week.
