Update: We have a BSL interpreter for the 12th March 7.30pm performance! Many thanks to Access Bedfordshire for all their support.
Note that due to low ticket sales, we have cancelled the 11th March performance. We are making efforts to see if we can get a BSL interpreter for the 12th March ‘meet the puppets’ workshop (watch this space!). If you have tickets for the 11th, these can be transferred to the Tuesday night (or 4.30pm performance). If you are unable to make this performance, we will refund your tickets.
Stuck in her Grandma’s obsessively tidy flat, a recently orphaned girl discovers a kite, which comes to life and takes her on a wild adventure. Little does she know that Grandma has her own brand of magic and the wind will bring them together in ways they never would have imagined.
Inspired by the world of indoor-kite flying and stories such as The Snowman and The Red Balloon, Kite is a play without words, with originally composed music, dance, puppetry and of course kites.
From acclaimed theatre company The Wrong Crowd, creators of inventive, playful and compelling new theatre (Snow White and the Happy Ever After Beauty Salon, Swanhunter, Hag, The Girl with the Iron Claws). Kite is for audiences of all ages. A poignant love-song to the wind, freedom and the joy of play.
